Sony Japan has confirmed that the Wi-Fi version (SGP312JP) of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z will launch in the country on 13 April 2013. Sony will only be selling the 32GB Wi-Fi model (no 16GB SKU), which will cost around 60,000 Yen (£430, €499, $652) on release.
Some retailers are already pricing the tablet lower, one retailer has it at 54,800 Yen (£393, €456, $596) for example. Both black and white colours will be available on launch. The LTE version of the Xperia Tablet Z (SO-03E) is scheduled to launch with DoCoMo in mid-March. We would expect the western launch to follow the Japanese launch, look for it around the month of May.
